Engineering
From modest beginnings in 1990 in a rented space ASG has steadily grown and we now maintain over 85 aircraft from all over Europe. See the reasons for our success below.
Experienced engineering team
The Chief Engineer and Quality Manager are the original team that started the company back in 1990 and have a vast experience of all GA types. They have slowly built a team of specialists to cover different areas of the maintained fleet. So from a magneto problem on a Cub to an FCU on a King Air we have an in-house fully-licensed specialist.
Free detailed Estimates, before it’s too late.
We focus real hard on total customer satisfaction with the final invoice closely matching the estimate. We like “no surprises” when the bill arrives and full knowledge of the work being carried out why it needed to be done. On day three of an annual, the customer is contacted by the engineer and all the defects and proposed repair scheme are explained and discussed.
Low margins on labour and parts
We have developed a comprehensive network of specialist parts suppliers that are hard to beat so we can usually find that particular problem part quickly and this coupled with our low margins means that the job is not held up for the parts and the unit is extremely cost effective. If you need any aircraft part then click here and we’ll quote you a price and availability.
No VAT
Because we are based in the VAT Free island of Guernsey this means that we our “outside Europe from a VAT point of view” and VAT is not chargeable. It saves a lot of money.
Transport back to mainland
Small inspections or defects can usually be covered in a day, so enjoy Guernsey, and fly home loaded with duty-free goods and tanks filled with very low cost fuel. For work that will take longer we can fix a ride back to the mainland in one of our own aircraft.
