Engineering

From a modest beginning in 1990, ASG has steadily grown from strength to strength and we now maintain over 85 aircraft from all over Europe. See the reasons for our success below.

Experienced engineering team

The original team that started the company back in 1990 are still helping to guide our success and train their successors creating a depth to the business as well as vast experience of all GA types. They have carefully built a team of specialists to cover different areas of the maintained fleet. So from a magneto problem on a Cub to an FCU on a King Air we have an in-house, fully-licensed specialist to deal with it.

Free detailed Estimates, before it’s too late.

We keep our focus on total customer satisfaction with the final invoice closely matching the estimate. We keep the customer informed at every step of what to expect from an initial estimate through to the invoice. We provide full information about the work being carried out and why it needs to be done. We aim to provide the customer with a list of defects and rectification costs within 72 hours of the aircraft’s arrival at our premises.

Low margins on labour and parts

We have developed a comprehensive network of specialist parts suppliers. We can usually find that elusive part quickly and this, coupled with our competitive margins, mean that the job is not held up waiting for parts and that we remain competitive!

No VAT

We are located outside of the EU on the VAT and GST Free island of Guernsey. Whether you are an individual or a VAT registered limited corporation able to claim back your VAT, there are opportunities to minimise your financial outlay when it comes to aircraft maintenance.

Transport back to mainland

Small inspections or defects can usually be covered in a day, so enjoy Guernsey, and fly home loaded with duty-free goods and tanks filled with very low cost fuel.
